Through the year the club puts on a number of adhoc events which include:-
> A favourite is the annual 5k run at Langdon Hills at Easter. After the Cross Country run the club have tea/coffee/cake/hot cross buns then, for our child members and children of members we put on an Easter Egg Hunt
> A club championship event - this is a nominated event where we aim for the highest possible turnout followed by a b-b-q. For the last few years we have found that the Bridge Triathlon Sprint event is an ideal choice.
> A club cycling championship day at Hogg Hill - a real favourite for children and adults alike and includes a timed flying lap, timed hill climb and a 30 minute group race.
> Club b-b-q - A social evening with free food to help you share your stories of the season so far (with people who want to listen).
> Club annual awards evening - A social evening with food, music, dancing and the all important annual awards for children and adults

The club has a place in the South Essex Cross Country League.
There are 5 events that take place in the winter months around local parks and we compete against 9 other clubs across 3 divisions.
They are great fun, generally 6-7k in length, potentially very muddy but with the promise of tea/coffee and cake at the end they are extremely popular and very well supported by all clubs.
