Membership

Here at East Essex Triathlon Club we are committed to providing a safe, secure and enjoyable environment in which junior members can come and experience the sport of triathlon. The club has been recognised for excellence in its work with the junior section and we have been awarded both the Essex 'Gold' Mark and the very prestigious Sport England 'Clubmark'. These are accreditations we are extremely proud of.
With that in mind we ask all parents and prospective junior members, prior to applying for membership, to read the following documents:

• 'Code of Conduct for Parents and Guardians'

These pages outline what is expected of everyone involved and ensure we are able create the safe, secure and enjoyable environment we pride ourselves on and one which is is mutally beneficial to both the club and athletes alike.

Membership Fees

Our membership fees are graduated by 5 age groups to match the membership age groups used by our governing body, Triathlon England. These age groups are:

• Junior - Age 17-19 (as at 31/12/2019)
• Youth - Age 15-16 (as at 31/12/2019)
• Tristart - Age 8-14 (as at 31/12/2019)

The Membership year is January 1st to December 31st and all fees advertised are for 1 membership year.

New members can join anytime between January 1st and November 30th.

Photography Policy

East Essex members are often photographed before, during and after races by fellow club members, friends and family.
Occasionally photographs may also be taken at training sessions organised by East Essex Triathlon Club.
These photographs will generally be posted on the club 'members only' Facebook page and/or club website.

Parental agreement to use these photos is explicitly included within the member registration process, however if there are any photos that you would prefer to have removed, please contact the webmaster at webmaster@east-essex-tri-club.co.uk as soon as possible.

Junior Club League

EETC Junior membership automatically includes entry into the Junior Club League. Points are awarded for competing in a variety of races across the Eastern Region and London as well as our own EETC events. At the end of the season the club holds it's 'Annual Awards Night' where the final results are announced and winners collect their trophies.

Also every year, on the run up to the awards night, fellow junior club members have the chance to vote for the EETC 'Junior Triathlete of the Year' and the male and female winners are crowned at the awards night.

England Athletics

Those of you who are not already registered with England Athletics through another club (ie running club or athletics club) have the option to choose East Essex Triathlon Club as your first claim club and register with England Athletics. This membership is highly recommended as it entitles eligible members to discounted entry to official UK Athletics affiliated events. Registration is an optional extra available for 11 year olds and over.

Triathlon England

Joining East Essex Triathlon Club does not include membership to Triathlon England. This must be applied for seperately.
