EAST ESSEX TRI - TRISTAR LEAGUE:
The above races make up the East Essex Tri Club Tristar League.  All athletes compete in their own categories (TriStar Start, 1, 2 & 3).  There are a maximum of 5 scoring events of which the best 2 triathlons, the best aquathlon or duathlon and best 2 other events (triathlon, aquathlon or duathlon) count.  Scoring is based on the winner getting 100 points and then for other competitors, points are awarded as a proportion of the winners time divided by their time.  It is therefore important that if you can't win the race to get as close as possible to the winner's time.  To be eligible you must be a member of East Essex Tri Club

EAST REGION RACE CLASSIFICATIONS:
East Region Childrens League (ERL)			More Information
Races labelled ERL make up the East Region League.  The best 5 events count where 4 must be triathlons, the fifth can be a duathlon or aquathlon.  Scoring is based on the winner getting 1000 points and for other competitors, points are awarded as a proportion of the winners time divided by their time.  To be eligible you must be a member of Triathlon England within the East Region.  Note that there are more events in the East Region League than listed above - please refer to their web site for more information.
Inter Regional Championships Qualification Races (IRC)			More Information
A national initiative exists whereby each region pits its best 12 TriStars 2 and 3 (3 girls and 3 boys from each category) against the other regions for the honour of the region being called Inter Regional Champions.  Selection for the first two places in each age/gender will be based on performances at two qualifying events with the regional head coach selecting the third based on performances during the season.  This years U20's event will take place on the 15th and 16th September at Mallory Park, Leicestershire
