If you have any questions re this postion or if you wish to apply please contact John Kidd directly at firstname.lastname@example.org

This year's Hogg Hill cycle day will be held on Sunday 25th October at Redbridge Cycle Centre. Unfortunately this once again clashes with a Cross Country League event so we will stick to the plan that worked well last year and start at 1pm. The afternoon will follow the same popular and successful format as in previous years with a coached session, hill climb, time trial, adult’s race and an elimination race for the youngsters! The track has been hired from 12pm so you can use the tack from this time however we do ask that TriStarts, Tristar 1 &Tristar 2’s are accompanied by an adult at all times This is a free event open to all club members, adult, youth and tristar, and is our way of saying a huge thank you to everyone who has helped with the success of the club this year by marshalling and supporting us!

Entry available online via link here: Chelmsford 10k 2015
We are delighted to say that the entries for this year's Leigh-on-Sea 10km Road Race are now open. As a previous entrant we thought you might like to know this before the rush of entries start over the coming weeks.
As always, the race takes place on the third weekend of October (19th, 9:30am start) and follows the same undulating and scenic route that awards some fantastic views over the Estuary and through the cobbled streets of Leigh Old Town.
This years event will again be chip timed, remain at a low entry cost, and have a very unique medal for all competitors. We are also pleased to be supporting two charities this year, Southend Mencap SMASH and The Finish Line Fund.
Entry can be made through the Chip Timing UK site where we have various entry options depending on whether you are Affiliated to UKA or would like to support The Finish Line Fund with the purchase of a pair of orange laces. Full details and links to online entry can be found at: www.losstriders.org. If you have any questions then please do get in contact with us at firstname.lastname@example.org
We look forward to hopefully seeing you on the day.

Five long term members of East Essex Tri Club, all keen triathletes (except Mike who hates triathlon and thinks we're stupid) have decided to cycle the length of these fair Isles before we're too old to do so.
Sue Fuller and Zena Shean are the ladies and will be joined by Chris Carrot, Mike Shean and Richard Fuller.
We aim to start at Lands End on Sunday 26 July and cycle for 13 days through some of the most beautiful landscapes finishing (hopefully) on Friday 7 August in John O'Groats. We will mark our progress with daily updates on our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/LEJOGEETC)
We couldn't mark this event without taking the opportunity to raise some money for a really worthwhile charity. Unique are a fantastic charity that helps parents and families of children who live with rare chromosone disorders. More information can be found at http://www.rarechromo.co.uk/html/home.asp.
If you are able to make a donation to this cause we'd be both delighted and grateful, grateful as it will help put energy in our legs at the end of each day to get us through it. You can make an online donation at http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/team/EETCOldies

The second Chelmsford Marathon is to be held on Sunday 18th of October 2015. The Chelmsford Marathon is solely organised by The J’s Hospice, a small charity based in Chelmsford, Essex that provides hospice and respite care services to young adults aged 16-40 who are living with life limiting and life threatening conditions. We were fortunate to have over 1,000 participants in the first ever Chelmsford Marathon in 2014 raising an amazing £100,000 to continue our vital work.
This year the Marathon has a brand new course set up with the help of our local running club, The Springfield Striders. The course is single lapped and classed by the Course Measurer as fairly flat with some undulation. We have a brand new starting venue, Shire Hall, allowing participants to run through the heart of the City of Chelmsford, and the beautiful surrounding parks and countryside. The course comprises of road running and tarmac paths.
Alternatively you may able to help with marshalling the course? They are looking for runners to offer their support and knowledge as course marshals around various locations in Chelmsford and Writtle.
For further information about the race and/or marshalling then please contact them through their dedicated Marathon website - www.chelmsfordmarathon.org.uk.

The cards will be programmed to allow the holder through for our sessions only. I have been assured the barriers will let those who arrive 30mins early through also. These cards will need to be reactivated every 3 months.
If a club member forgets their card they will need to queue at reception to be verified as a club member before being allowed through the gate rather than calling over from the gate. Please can I ask you all to allow an extra 10 minutes this week to collect and complete your form etc.
Thanks to those who've already volunteered to marshal for the Aquathlon on the 29th but I'm still desperately short of NON competing members to marshal the run course for the adult event. If you haven't already emailed, or spoken to me personally, please let me know if you can help out from 2pm - 5pm Sunday 29th March @ BSV - YOUR CLUB NEEDS YOU! - firstname.lastname@example.org
Good Friday - 3rd April is the Easter Crown to Crown 5k run starting 10:30am. This is a great event for adults and juniors alike, you can just turn up for the run or ride there then run, or just come to support. After the run, there will be the annual get together for the munching of hot cross buns/tea/coffee for all our adult riders/runners/spectators. And followed by the exciting East Essex Easter egg hunt for all our junior members and children of members.
Please email email@example.com if you are planning to attend as we need to know numbers so we can get enough food/drinks/eggs
The next bike time trial is on Easter Monday, 6 April and is a good chance to test your legs after all the winter miles you've (hopefully) put in.
It's in both the adult and youth leagues and Tri-Stars aged 12 and over can also take part.
As usual, this event is organised by Southend Wheelers, meeting at Steeple Village Hall which will be open from 8 a.m, with the first rider off at 9 a.m.
Please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to take part.
If you will be there supporting and can help with marshalling please e-mail email@example.com
SEXC League 2014/15 Season - Division 2 Champions
A massive well done to all those who battled through the mud, sweat and hills of this years Cross Country series. Thank you also to our amazing supporters who turned up to offer encouragement in all weathers. We easily topped each race and have earned promotion into Division 1 for next season. Result for the complete season can be found on the xc pages. Bring on next season. . .
"I'd just like to add a huge thanks to Deb, Jenny and everyone involved in making the cross country season happen. Fantastic job and here's to an even better one next year .. Division 1 champs I reckon!" - Paul Hart, Club Capt.
Youth league has been updated as of 09/03/15
Hi All , CSS swim test results have now been updated on the EETC swim pages (Training / Pool Sessions) . Also please read the introduction document at the same location if your not sure what all this CSS stuff means. There were some great performances with the vast majority going significantly quicker than the last test 7 weeks ago. The hard work is paying off!!
Here are the results from Thursdays swim time trial at BSV: swimtt_A_260215_results.pdf
The 5th and final race will take place at 10am this Sunday at Hadleigh Country Park. Although we are currently leading Division 2, we still need a good turnout to make it an emphatic win. It would be great to see as many as possible from the club taking part and, hopefully, sharing the moment as we lift the trophy. Full details can be found on the XC pages
Advance notice that due to our club aquathlon at BSV on the 29th there will be no coached session at Wickford pool on that day.
Entries are open NOW! - www.entrycentral.com/wilkinskennedygraystriathlon
This Sunday, 1st March, sees the first sunday swim session hosted by Richard Duane at Wickford Swimming Pool. The sessions runs from 5pm until 6pm with registration at 4:45pm prompt. The usual session fees apply and club vouchers are valid. Many thanks to Richard for organising and manning of this extra session. As you can imagine coach and lane time is of a premium so please make good use of the opportunity.
As fully paid up members of East Essex Tri everyone who would like to has the opportunity to train to be an official Triathlon England Level 1, 2 or 3 Coach. These courses are part subsidised by the club and offer the opportunity for you to become a fully qualified coach, capable of delivering quality swim, bike and run sessions to your fellow club mates ... plus you get expenses!
If you'd like to know more just grab your nearest coach and ask for details.
*terms & conditions apply, coaching hours may be required in lieu of subsidy.
The Masters sessions are for swimmers over 18-years old of all abilities, providing lanes for the social swimmer, up to the full competitive swimmer undertaking a structured training program. There are 2 evening sessions dedicated to Masters swimming, but this does not stop the more competitive older swimmer from training with the full squads if they wish to.
The sessions are: Tuesday 5.30am-7am, Tuesday 9pm-10pm & Friday 9.15pm-10pm @ £4 per session
Don't forget, when planning your events for the upcoming season, to checkout the Triathlon England Eastern Region League. It's free to TE members and you're automatically entered when competing in any of the qualifying events. There's regional trophies up for grabs and also a chance for the club to win too. This is just one of the many benefits that comes with TE membership - the wise choice for every competing triathlete! For more details visit the Eastern Region website by clicking on the advert above
From Steve Cottis, the organiser of the Hanningfield Tri:
"I have been made aware that on the entry page competitors had to tick a box to commit to raising at least £50 sponsorship before they could continue through the process, we have asked wateraid to remove this. Although one of the reasons for the event is to raise money for water aid we feel they will get a good amount from the entry fees as all profits will go to them. I just wanted to let you know this in case it has been putting individuals off entering."
There's been quite a bit technological tweakerage going on at league headquarters over the past few weeks. Jedi Pickett has been schooled in the ways of the force and after a wave of his sabre and an extra 50p in the meter we've had an output! Yes there are some of our latest recruits missing, Yes there may even be a stray result here and there but the 2015 league is under way. Expect an iminent update and peruse at your pleasure via the usual links in the main menu.
Any queries contact Ben Pickett at: firstname.lastname@example.org
You'll find the latest edition of Captain's Notes via the menu button above - the one on the far right.
The updated club committee page is now available via 'Contact Us' in the main menu. Thank you to everyone who's stepped up and volunteered their time to keep the club running smoothly. Don't forget we're always looking for help throughout the year, you don't need to be a committee member to chip in, so let us know if you'd like to help.
For those of you with new club email addresses I will be contacting you in due course with logon details etc.
Another resounding win for team EETC at Weald this weekend. Thanks to everyone who took part, on a very challenging course, to bring home the fourth win in a row. Roll on round five at Hadleigh and an EETC clean sweep.
Results from Sundays' race are now available via the xc pages. *now amended with overall score sheet

Welcome Paul Hart who takes over the reigns as EETC Club Captain as of today. From everyone at East Essex Tri we wish you good luck in your new role.
Thank you to everyone who attended the AGM last night at Rayleigh. It was great to see a record turnout with plenty of new members coming along to have their say in probably the best triathlon club in Essex.
There was quite a change across the many committee roles this AGM with new faces joining and some old favourties hanging in there "just for another year". Many thanks to those long standing committee members who have passed the torch on, especially Zena Shean who stood down as Club Captain and Janice Brown who stood down as Welfare Officer, and welcome to Paul Hart, who takes over as Club Captain, and to Sonya Martin, who steps in as our new Welfare Officer.
A full list of the new committee will be available via the main menu/about us/contact us section.
Notice to all EETC tristars - Please ensure you are on the waiting list if you missed entering before it filled up - www.entrycentral.com/eastessexkidstriathlon
Wednesday 4th February at Rayleigh Cricket Club, Rawreth Lane, SS11 8SP - Time: 8pm.
The EETC AGM is held once a year primarily to elect the chairman and committee members, for the upcoming year, but also to inform members of the club's previous and future activities. It's a chance for members to hear a review the club's accounts and to ask any questions regarding the direction of the club in the future. All members are actively encouraged to attend and be part of the well oiled machine that is EETC. Remember without the committee, working tirelessly behind the scenes, everything we do as a club just wouldn't happen so please attend if you can. There are a few open positions that need to be filled this year, as exisiting committee members retire, and as ever there are general committee member positions available for those who would like to be involved.
Further details of positons available to follow asap.
