Hi guys the Easter egg hunt will be taking place on Good Friday after the 5 k race. The race starts at 11, I would suggest to be there by 10:30 the latest as you have to pay your £2 & get your number as parking will be limited earlier the better. A group will be riding over there, probably leaving from the market car park in Rayleigh, details to follow on times ect & also could someone offer to lead the ride & let me know details cheers, The egg hunt will be about 12 & there will be cake & hot cross buns. All children are welcome to take part members/adult members kids ect. The club will provide tea & coffee & hot cross buns. Could I ask you to bring a donation of eggs to hide please for the hunt especially kids parents, many thanks. And any bakers out there cake donations greatly appreciated (you know who you are). And lastly could you let me know how many of you are coming so we can organise the buns tea & coffee. Just post 2 adults 1 kid etc. Many thanks hope to see you on the day.

England Athletics memberships expire on the 31st March. For those of you who paid the extra £14 tri club membership fees I will be joining/renewing you to EA on 1st April. You should then receive your EA membership card through the post. Any questions please email me at email@example.com . Please find attached the full set of results of Round 5 at Hadleigh, including the final standings for the series. Overall we were 4th in Division 1, only 2 points behind Benfleet! All members are allowed to enter provided they are happy to marshal either before or after their race. Kev will be in touch re marshal duties a bit nearer the time but for now GET YOUR ENTRIES IN before it sells out!

There are still places for any East Essex TriStar or Youth who wants to take part in this event - but hurry as entry closes at the end of March. The race is listed as 'full', but entries can be added to the Entry Central waiting list. The club name must be included - you will then receive an invitation to participate and pay
Entry Central now provides the option to register as a user which, not only saves entering you and your families details over and over again but also, gives entrants the facility to update their race entry details right up to the event closing date. This option has been activated for Wilkins Kennedy Grays Triathlon entrants who register a user account with Entry Central. Please see this handy guide for more details.

impsport have recently introduced minimum orders on certain pieces of kit to reduce production costs in order to keep the price of kit down. After our bulk order window closed Sunday they informed us there were a number of items that hadn't reach the minimum order.
They offered us three options to proceed:
We have managed to negotiate an extension to the order window until the end of February AND a suspension of the minimum limits for this order but this does mean this is likely to be the last bulk order made for 2017 and maybe beyond.
With this in mind we urge you to think ahead and order any kit you think you may require ASAP

The Basildon Aquathlon is now showing full for both Tristar and Youth / Adult. Entry Central is still open for Wait List entries and all EETC Members adding their name to the Wait List will be given priority as spaces become available. Please make sure that your name is on the Wait List in Entry Central BEFORE FEBRUARY 1st to secure your place.
Every year, during January, we hold the East Essex Triathlon Club Annual General Meeting or AGM for short. This year the AGM will be held on Friday the 20th January, 2017 at Rayleigh Cricket Club, Rawreth Lane, SS11 8SP from 7.30pm for an 8.00 pm start. At this meeting the chairman and members of the committee will give a brief outline of the club's activities over the previous year, highlighting many of the inspiring individual and team achievements followed by a round up from the club treasurer who gives a brief outline of the club's accounts including income and expenditure over the previous year. There's also the opportunity for members to ask questions about any or all of the above. We finish off with the current committee standing down before the new committee is elected for 2017. All members are actively encouraged to attend.

ps. Following my post regarding the AGM, the Club have decided to implement a modest increase in the cost of each of our Club training sessions effective from the 1st February, 2017. Full details and the rational behind our decision will be announced at the AGM, however members will still be able to purchase the pre-paid adult and child vouchers at the current price up until the end of January. These vouchers will also be available to buy at the AGM. Thanks again and we look forward to seeing you next Friday the 20th at Rayleigh Cricket Club. Don’t forget the bar will be open.

There is a £5 discount if you renew in January.
This year the basic membership fee does not include membership of England Athletics because they have increased their annual membership fee to £14 and the club will no longer be subsidising this. If you wish to take up membership of England Athletics via the club you will have to pay £14 on top of your basic club membership. All the membership options (with or without EA) are on the Entry Central website, please choose carefully. Please note, only those with EA membership will be eligible for club London marathon places.
Remember that when filling in medical conditions this will go on your membership card. We recommend you carry this with you when training, especially if you are out on your own. The details could help the emergency services help you, so please fill it in accurately and succinctly; 'Awesome', 'Balding' and 'old age' are not medical conditions! If you have none then leave it blank.
